# Plant first. Paperwork second. The re-introduction of the WeedWiki Collective

Walk into a legal cannabis store in Canada: tubes, boxes, bags, jars, all with nice labels and numbers. What does the Canadian cannabis consumer actually know about the purchase? Not a lot — and that's nobody's fault, because the regulations say the people who grow and sell it can't tell you about it.

So somebody had to. [The Re-Introduction](https://youtu.be/S1U-FyfaAlc?ref=journal.weedwiki.ca) is who we are and why: thirty years of explaining complicated things to regular people — printing, automotive, training — then a cannabis counter, watching smart people buy things they didn't understand, ninety seconds at a time. And a personal reason, on camera, that explains why this desk believes legalization only finishes the job when it comes with honest education.

Job one: make cannabis make sense — labels, terpenes, low-and-slow, the questions you'd ask if there wasn't a line behind you (start with the free [Counter Companion](https://weedwiki.ca/kit.html?ref=journal.weedwiki.ca)). Job two: read the ownership paperwork, because who owns the counter changes what's on your shelf.
